Within the last two years Pets Haven have successfully homed over 535 cat/kittens.  All cats/kittens were desexed, vaccinated, wormed, scanned for ring worm and m’chipped. We are dedicated in providing a cat/kitten responsible homing service. The below is our Policy when receiving kittens.

OUR CAT/KITTEN POLICY

If a mother cat and kittens arrive from customer - Whilst Customer is there we complete the following. [We only accept kittens from customers if they agree in having the mother cat desexed. We facilitate the desexing of the mother cat for the customer]

Scan each Cat/Kitten for ringworm

Make sure kittens are old enough in leaving their mother

Check Cat/Kittens for sneezing

Check for muck in eyes

Check for any wetness around eyes

Check around anal area –looking for any signs of Diarrhoea

Check general well being ‘weight’ ect

If there are problems with any of the kittens, we do not take any, but offer treatment. Depending on the health check appropriate treatment can be offered. We can offer treatment and ask the customer to return in 7-10 days for a new health check. If cat/kittens are well, we will then accept them. We will do everything in our power to ensure cats/kittens receive the appropriate treatment. We are strict will our rules due to Quarantine requirements. Additionally due care must be given to all other animals in our care.

If Cat/Kitten[s] are brought in from being rescued [dumped, found ect]

We complete the same as the above. If Cat/Kittens have any health problems, Quarantine off Pets Haven premises will occur. Cat/Kitten[s] will be treated for their illness, once recovered; they will be desexed, vaccinated, m’chip ect. Our off premise’s facility is very small; therefore we ask owners of unwell cats/kittens to treat them at their homes, due to our limited Quarantine.
